My Story

You know the feeling. Push hard enough, say yes enough, and eventually they have to give you the seat.

I know it too. I was climbing toward a promotion that had been dangled in front of me for years.

Then it didn’t come. And a reorg wiped out the people who actually valued what I brought to the table.

Something in me went quiet.

I have a wife and five kids counting on me, a mortgage, real stakes. I’d burned myself out chasing something I’m honestly not sure was ever mine to have.

I’m a software engineer, so I build things to work through problems. I’ve also spent years growing YouTube channels, including one that hit over 111,000 subscribers, and I’m building the DownshiftByDesign channel and another fast growing personal hobby channel from scratch right now, the same way.
